How to use

CellVision slides are easy to use. Each slide consists of 2* seperate chambers, A and B.  The sample volume is indicated in the loading zone*. The grid (if applicable) can be found in the center circle of the chamber. CellVision slides are disposable and each chamber can be used only once.

* except for the 20 micron 4-chamber slide

Filling the chamber

1. Use a pipette to add an appropriate amount of homogeneous sample to one of the loading zones. Do not overfill the chamber.

                        1 = loading zone 2 = grid location

2. The counting chamber will fill itself by capillary action.

3. Wipe away any excess.

4. The sample will stabilize and a steady view will be available immediately.  For the 100 micron chambers we advise to wait 5 minutes before counting. This time is needed for the cells/particles to settle.

We advise these volumes :

Slide depth Volume to add

  16 µm   4  µl
  20 µm   5  µl
  20 µm-4ch   3  µl
  30 µm   8  µl
100 µm  25  µl

Counting

1. Counting can be performed with the built-in grid.

2. Counting can be performed with a CASA system.

3. Counting can be performed with an eye-piece reticle
